Hey Gaielle, thanks for the comment. I have been getting good traffic from the widget and yeah, there are many different types of widgets out there. With under 300 websites listed in the business category, I think it's easy to get within the top 10 spots and remember that there are over 17,000 page views a day from Widgetbox.

It would be nice to have one blog that has all of Alex Jeffreys' students widgetbox on there so we could go to one place and see who all is posting to their blogs on a regular basis. Sounds like a project that could go somewhere if done correctly. You could quickly see everyones different posts and quickly go there to leave comments. It would save hours searching all of our blogs.

As for my traffic to my video I have an article website that has been getting me awesome results. I set it up in 2006 and forgot all about it because I didn't know what to do with it. I thought all of the article submissions were automatic.

After setting up Google Analytics I found I was getting anywhere from 50 to over 200 unique hits a day and several hundred pageviews. I realized real people were visiting so I put the video up there to see what would happen.

Over 900 views at last look. Now I need to figure out a way to monetize my article site. I'm excited about the future of this article site and I hope this gives you some inspiration to keep failing forward like me.

Hi Michael,
Great website. Lots of info.

I'm interested in your widget. Is it working for you? I'm keen to
hear more about it.

I found a nice widget yesterday which may be of use.
It allows my visitors to forward my blog posts onto others by email.

There is a row of clickable titles across the top of my last post that
says "email this post" and this takes you to a form that appears to
utilize the hosting email facility.

It's a mild form of viral marketing. I should hop over to the forums
and tell some of the other students about it.

All the best,
Gaielle
PS You are going great guns in the video stakes. Well done. I'm still
exploring ways to generate traffic. I'm hopeless.
