Hey it’s new years eve and I want to let everyone know that I am ready to kick off 2009 with a bang!  Being a student of Alex Jeffreys has really helped me to focus on treating my business like a business.  No more surfing and email reading all day for me.

Again, I must say that I hope you all have written your goals down for the new year and organized them by priority.  For my first 90 day plan, I hope to get at least 2 paid products created and at least 4 free products.  I have a plan for my business to get the free content out there and make it viral.

The information will be quality and of value.  If you don’t already know, I can do my own graphics for my products.  For me, I like to create graphics to give me a visual of what I want to accomplish.  Since being a student of Alex Jeffreys, I figure it just makes sense to create products about what I have already accomplished up till now.

My first product will be related to setting up a blog to be profitable and also how to organize the content so it will be the most beneficial to the end user.  Below is the graphic I created giving you a teaser of whats to come.

I know, I know.  The graphics are supposed to be done after I complete the e book and videos but like I said before, I need a visual aide to help me stay motivated to complete this project.  If I had the money I would have outsourced a lot of these tasks but I really do enjoy the learning from doing it myself.  In the future I will outsource more and more but I really want this project to be all me.

It’s now 12:00am so Happy New Year!  I know running a business can be fun and frustrating but all in all I believe that now that I have specific goals set along with the continued support of Alex’s coaching, I can succeed.  Even if in the end I have a couple of hundred subscribers I will still be happy.  After all, I have to begin somewhere.

Thanks to all of you who give me support and who comment on my blog.  Our success is guaranteed as long as you never give up and never give in.  Let’s not be part of those 95% who quit.  Instead let’s help them to succeed by giving them quality content, support, and most of all hope.  Hope precedes the faith which in turn leads to action.  And we all know that without action there is nothing.

So press forward all my fellow students and all those who find my blog useful.  Creating your own business is very doable if you simply just do it.  And that’s really all there is to it.  So until next time…

Hey by the way Michael, do u mind me asking…where did you learn to do such great graphics and what software/program do you use to do them? theres soo much on the net right now, you just never know which one is the right one!?!? I would love to learn doing graphics like this, but if i have to go back to school for 2 years I guess its out of my reach haha..so please tell me you’re self taught!! please please!! :) I want to learn!! Im just blown away at your work :) You are going to be a huge success!!!!!!!!

Thanks Chelsea for the comments and for your continued encouragement and support. I used Adobe Photoshop CS for the graphics and I purchased a set of action scripts that takes a completely flat image and turns them into 3D books, ezines, cd’s, video covers or whatever.

An action script is recorded by someone who creates the digital graphic from scratch but records each process of how he does it. Then the next time he wants to do a similar graphic, he can just do step 1 which is create the flat image and then just press play to load the action.

The computer then takes the graphic through all of the stages automatically until there is the final product. I have been messing around with photoshop for about a year and it is a pretty expensive software but I think in the long term will save me thousands in graphic design costs.

As I become more experienced with Photoshop I am sure my graphics will get even better. I really think creating successful graphics comes only to those who love to design and you can tell by my offer to Alex’s students that it really is fun for me.

You can totally do this Chelsea if you really want to. As Alex says just fail forward fast when you do. It’s not hard to look online to find color combinations that flow with each other and you can also look at other peoples graphics or magazines for design ideas. That’s what I do anyways.

If you need anything else or have ideas about graphics for your future products, just let me know and I’ll be glad to help. I’m no graphic design guru but you really can’t beat free can you? LOL

Also this goes for any of you who need a graphic kickstart for your business or product idea. Keep up the good work and I’ll be visiting your site soon. Talk at you later…
