Responding To Comments On Your Blog

If you want to know how to get people to come back to your blog, then let me suggest to you that you begin to interact with the people who leave comments on your blog.  Many people go and leave comments on blogs just to promote their products and get backlinks to their own website.

Remember guys, Alex Jeffreys warned to “Not Pimp Your Sh-t!”  People who read your comments can tell if you are trying to sell to them or not so just don’t do it.  If you are offering real value when commenting on other people’s blogs it will pay off over time.

Remember that blogs are evergreen so as more and more people come to visit, your comments will get read and you will get visitors.  Stop selling and provide value please.  Alex knows what he is talking about and many of you disregard this advice.

As for me, I have know idea if people who leave comments on my blog will ever come back but I have made it a point to begin to respond to the comments on my blog.  Over time people will see that I am interacting with my readers and will see that I am willing to spend time with them to build that relationship.

Believe it or not people have the desire to interact with others and over time don’t you think that somebody will be more willing to buy a product from someone they feel they know opposed to a stranger?  Relationships are crucial in building a solid online business.

That’s why social networking is so popular.  Not for the fact you can upload your current posts from your blog but the fact that you have the opportunity to spend time with people chatting, letting them know what you’re up to and such.  Building relationships builds trust and that’s who you want for your next customer or joint venture partner.  As you get to know others and they know you, success will follow.

After listening to the interview between Alex Jeffreys and Maria Andros, I’ve decided to do more video marketing and also personal video.  Maria says that when people see you talking and your expressions, people feel like they are getting to know you on a personal level.  Video coupled with leaving comments and responding to comments will create a relationship that can progress way past making money and actually help give you a purpose.

For me life is more than making money but making money will be the result of honesty, integrity, and the willingness to truthfully help others to achieve their dreams along with achieving yours.  Just a thought to ponder over.  I encourage your comments and thoughts.  Until next time…

  1. Hi Michael,

Thanks for this post Michael. I’ve read it through and got a lot from it.

I’m really interested in what you have to say about using video in conjunction with leaving comments. I need to find out much more about this – because it is the future of online communicating and a s far as using video goes, the futures right here and right now!

I’ll be checking in regularly, you’ve got some great content and I like your philosophy – it matches my own – keep up the great work,

    Andrew.
