Omar Martin & Internet Selling For Newbies

I just spent the last four days and five nights in the city that never sleeps. Las Vegas is on heck of a town with the most beautiful and most amazing scenery of a city that I’ve seen in a while. The funny thing is that when you stop to look closely around, you can see a different scene.
People begging for money and trash in every corner. I wondered how a city so beautiful can be this trashy at the same time. It’s proof that whatever you want to find in any place on earth you can find if you just stop to look around and pay attention. The same is true with people. You can either think that the so called “Gurus” are non approachable or you can decide that you will make the effort to stop and take the time to see what is inside of these people.
This brings me to Omar Martin. I went out to Las Vegas to meet up with my mentor Alex Jeffreys and attend Mike Filsaimes Butterfly Marketing Workshop. Alex gave us 25 to 30 students some great information and some great training. He has kept giving as his mentoring program has been finished for awhile now. I met up with him and some of the action takers he has produced (meaning us students.)
Paula Brett, (hi sweetie) introduced me and some others to Omar Martin, one of Mike Filsaime’s business partners. As a internet selling newbie myself, I felt like I was in the presence of royalty or something much like when I saw Alex and Mike but it was a lot different because I decided to start talking with Omar Martin.
The guy was personable and polite. He was funny and outgoing. I could see the passion in this guys eyes when he talked of his wife and their desire to have a baby, and of his story from nothing to something. You see, all of this took place in the social scenes of Las Vegas. We were not at a convention or seminar. This all took place at the bar.
Now Alex had taught us that business happens at the bar but I was not sure exactly what that meant until it actually happened. Not only did I receive what I consider a piece of gold by Omar giving me an advanced copy of Internet Selling For Newbies but he gave me a friend. I spent the entire night with with this guy and several other of us students of Alex’s.
I picked his brain every chance I could and in every instance he gave the most candid and honest answers I’ve ever heard from someone who has made it online. Needless to say, by nights end ( or should I say morning ) I had received more information in a social night with Omar than I did with my own mentor Alex Jeffreys and Mike Filsaime.
In his generosity I found a copy of Internet Selling For Newbies which he gave to a select few of us. I wasn’t able to immediately go through the material until I came home. After all, I was in Las Vegas. I was impressed with the classroom style of teaching during the videos and the easy to follow assignments. This indeed is a course that even most of us who have been online for a while now could use.
I really wish I could have recorded the conversations about internet marketing that Omar had with us because after speaking with him, I had so many ideas and a clearer focus as to what I need to do to succeed online. Some of you come to this blog as my peers to discuss business and to have fun with each other but for those of you who feel that you really are a newbie as I do should get a copy of Internet Selling For Newbies as soon as it’s available June 16th.
Omar is proof that you can go from nothing to something in only 18 months. The number one thing I saw in him that distinguishes him from the others is that he is persistent and pushed forward even when he failed. He did not blame anyone or anything for his failures but himself. I think most of us quit at that place where the scale is just about to tip in our favor only to turn around because of frustration and fear.
It would have been easy to be one of those people who say, “Yeah, you only succeeded because you work with Mike Filsaime.” But the truth is that Omar succeeded because he never gave up and he went to those who knew more than he did to get the answers he needed. He also took his adversity and make them strengths. He is one guy I would love to emulate.
Those of you who are willing to do something about your future will see the results without a doubt. You must be willing to be sociable and step out of your comfort zones. I did and it paid off big time. Thanks Omar for the copy of Internet Selling For Newbies and for the fun time we had in Las Vegas. You truly are one to watch. Until next time…

Hi Michael,
Thank you for the kind words. It truly was MY honor to meet you and the rest of the students that attended this workshop in Vegas. If we could rewind time just two short years you would see that I was the one at the bar taking notes. Scurrying around the lobby to find successful marketers and start up a conversation.
The sweat equity that we all invest in our online business is extremely valuable but the relationships we build with like minded individuals at offline events are priceless. In essence it has been those elevator conversations that have inspired me as well. Keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll soon see that success will come to YOU! As my mentor said to me a while back I am saying to you now… “You are destined to explode!”
I will check in on you from time to time and I hope you stay in touch with me as well. Put the blinders on my friend, avoid negative people, continue to sharpen the saw and most of all CHARGE FORWARD without looking back.
Melinda and I are looking forward to sharing a diet coke with you on the beaches of the world.
Talk Soon!
Omar Martin

@ Omar, thanks so much for the copy and the membership is fantastic to say the least! Anyone who goes through this course will come out 1000% more knowledgable than before.
I really do look forward to that explosion you speak of and am not going to let those negative people influence me at all. The net is chock full of them for sure.
I wish you much success with the launch and I know the free cd’s are almost gone so go and get yours now people cause they are free!
@ Paula, you rock sweetie and your new pic is divine! That is so awesome that you taught Omar how to do an ebook. Goes to show how anyone with skills is a guru at what they know.
I loved meeting you in Vegas with Omar and the rest of the UK gang. I felt at home with all of you and am coming for a visit as soon as I can!
It goes to show those of you who are reading this that real live networking is a must if you wish to succeed a lot faster online.
I went to Vegas and after meeting some very good people, I find myself in the company of the greats. I even got on the sales page of Internet Selling For Newbies for crying out loud! Craaaaaazy…
Love ya Pauls and until next time my dear.
Hey sweetie,
PMW here, visiting from the Lair of Temptation. I see I’m in good company in the comments box with Paula (hey darls!) and Omar (more Lemon Drops for you?). By the way, I’m loving the pictures and videos that have come out from Las Vegas so far – what a great time we all had.
Anyway – I’m also working my way through the Internet Selling For Newbies CD-ROM & it’s absolutely fantastic – so I second your recommendation above!
Get over to the UK, we want to share our cold weather with you – though I can’t promise a corn dog as we don’t have any of those over here!
PMW
Corn Dog’s are GROSS! Yuck! – The words corn and dog shouldn’t even be in the same sentence. Now- Lemon -and- Drops…. that’s a completely different story!

O
Stop it, you three. I’m soooooooo missing Vegas even more now [sob]

Hey Nix, glad to see ya back here to stew up some potions for us. For crying out loud people, the corn dog photo was for Dan Briffa remember.
He was the one who was searching the heck out of Vegas for a corndog. I just ate one for him. LOL!
Get the book done Nikki so we can get that list built for you.
@Omar, forget corndog, you are a sick dog my friend. Can’t wait to hang with you on those Florida beaches buddy. Oh and by the way, I’m about to freaking go for it and quit my job.
I really think whats holding me back is my stupid job. It’s not about money anymore, it’s about what I want to do with my life and for my family. Thanks for the encouragement and if it doesn’t work, then I’ll be at your doorstep. LOL!
@ Paula, we will go to Vegas again for sure! We will plan a fun one too so get the planner out.
I did take a pic of loads of corndogs for Dan – though perhaps he would have preferred moths or fish (you need to have seen their random YouTube videos for that to make any kind of sense). I only got the shot of the batch of dogs though – Michael, you went that step further by savouring one – you do look like you’re enjoying the experience in the photo! Honestly, it’s nearly as bad as the 2 pictures of me eating a banana…
We have random things here in the UK, but corndogs aren’t one of them…so Omar, I think you’ll be safe. However, you may not like the attitude to alcohol in bars here – everything gets measured out unlike the bars we were at in Las Vegas. I’m sure we can find some shots of badness for you though – I’ve had a couple of nights out that are a bit of a hazy blur due to far too many shots of randomness. Just give me the cocktails & no-one gets hurt!
Michael, are you actually quitting your job? If so then a) good on you and b) good luck! I know in my case that I just don’t have the time to get the things done that I want to do, and in the absence of a friendly millionaire in Vegas (look, I was hopeful, ok?!) I still need to work full time to pay for everything. So while my progress is a lot slower than some others, I am getting there…
Paula, we need to get Michael & Omar over to the UK – I feel a mission coming on!

Thanks for posting this blog. It certainly helps all levels of marketers.
Karthy,
Very nice Omar.. keep up the amazing work n its nice to read more from ya.
It’s because of meeting people like Omar that makes me want to do so much more online. I know it can be daunting at times but now that I’m having success in my own business, I have the drive to keep going.
Thanks again,
Michael Ottman
