Hey everyone. I just wanted to give a quick post on a topic that seems to haunt almost everyone who tries it. It’s list building. I’ve been working online as a graphic designer for a while now and admit I haven’t done my due diligence in creating and maintaining a mailing list. Only recently have I been giving away a graphics pack to build my list.

I came across something that has given me 53 subscribers in just a few hours and by the time this post is up for 24 hours I will let you know even how much more it has grown.

You need to check out The Viral Secret to spend 10 measly minutes to set up your very own VIRAL list building website that Russel Brunson just launched.

I’m not joking around here. I’ve been tearing the remaining little hairs out of my head to get myself to build a list but it takes a while to motivate myself. If you use Aweber and already have a list name created, all you have to do is plug it in and your set.

The cool thing is that once you sign up and upload your list details, they give you a special link to promote a free list building site to others. Everyone who goes for the free site gets on your list and the whole thing goes 6 levels deep. So now that I signed up, I am on 6 marketers lists all by filling in one form. After I got my affiliate link and placed it in my browser, I noticed my picture and email newsletter listed in the 6th position on my Free Viral List Building Site.

Now I send visitors to my link and when they sign up, they are automatically on my list. Of course they have to double opt in to be fully on there but at least they signed up. Now if just 10 people do what I did and the same thing continues, by the time I reach the number 1 spot on other peoples list building site, I could potentially have thousands if not tens of thousands of email addresses.

In just the time it took me to write this post my subscribers increased by another 6 subscribers. This truly is going VIRAL. The best part is that these people are on my list so every email sent is actually sent by me with my list name. Unlike other list building sites like ListDotCom.com which shows ListDotCom as the sender of the email instead of your own list name.

Only time will tell whether this Viral List Building free site will amass me thousands but for spending only 10 minutes of your time and getting it all for FREE, this is truly a no brainer. Never mind the $97 upsell as it only gains you extra exposure and doesn’t gain the affiliate any extra cash. All cash goes straight to Russel Brunson but who cares as the purpose is to grow my list very very fast which it seems to be doing.

As a matter of fact, the time it took you to even read this post is all it takes to set this up and begin building a very huge list in a very short amount of time. My link has some pretty big names as the 6 marketers who you get to sign up under so be sure to sign up here in order to get some credibility with your free list building site. I will keep you all posted so until next time… Check out The Viral Secret!

Hey I decided to make a video to show how in the world I figured out how to get traffic for free and fast to your website or blog without paying anything.

To save time I signed up to Youtube and created my account. I included everything necessary to upload videos and even created my own channel.

Then I downloaded a free 30 day trial of Camtasia Studio 6 to make my free videos with. I made my first video and uploaded it to Youtube and watched the results.

The next thing I did was sign up to EzineArticles.com as an author. I put as much information as possible and began to write my article. I made sure that my article was not on any other websites and unique to only EzineArticles. It takes a few days after submitting articles for them to be approved.

Well if you are curious as to the results of these two traffic tactics, I suggest you scroll down and take a look at the video below to see exactly what happened. You may be surprised. This is only the second video I’ve ever made myself so please be patient with my abilities and “yes” this was made free also because my Camtasia trial has not expired yet!

I encourage questions and comments as this was only a couple of tactics I learned by Alex Jeffreys and Maria Andros who are two fantastic people who have helped me to succeed online. If you have more tactics about how to get traffic for free and fast that you would like to share, please let me know. Until next time…

If you want to know how to get people to come back to your blog, then let me suggest to you that you begin to interact with the people who leave comments on your blog. Many people go and leave comments on blogs just to promote their products and get backlinks to their own website.

Remember guys, Alex Jeffreys warned to “Not Pimp Your Sh-t!” People who read your comments can tell if you are trying to sell to them or not so just don’t do it. If you are offering real value when commenting on other people’s blogs it will pay off over time.

Remember that blogs are evergreen so as more and more people come to visit, your comments will get read and you will get visitors. Stop selling and provide value please. Alex knows what he is talking about and many of you disregard this advice.

As for me, I have know idea if people who leave comments on my blog will ever come back but I have made it a point to begin to respond to the comments on my blog. Over time people will see that I am interacting with my readers and will see that I am willing to spend time with them to build that relationship.

Believe it or not people have the desire to interact with others and over time don’t you think that somebody will be more willing to buy a product from someone they feel they know opposed to a stranger? Relationships are crucial in building a solid online business.

That’s why social networking is so popular. Not for the fact you can upload your current posts from your blog but the fact that you have the opportunity to spend time with people chatting, letting them know what you’re up to and such. Building relationships builds trust and that’s who you want for your next customer or joint venture partner. As you get to know others and they know you, success will follow.

After listening to the interview between Alex Jeffreys and Maria Andros, I’ve decided to do more video marketing and also personal video. Maria says that when people see you talking and your expressions, people feel like they are getting to know you on a personal level. Video coupled with leaving comments and responding to comments will create a relationship that can progress way past making money and actually help give you a purpose.

For me life is more than making money but making money will be the result of honesty, integrity, and the willingness to truthfully help others to achieve their dreams along with achieving yours. Just a thought to ponder over. I encourage your comments and thoughts. Until next time…

I have noticed that when I focus on writing content for my blog, that is all i end up with. What good is the content if there are no visitors to read them and comment on them. Isn’t that why we started a blog for anyways?

I have also seen a sharp drop in visits to my blog when I stop visiting and commenting on other peoples blogs. So I have decided that I need to do two very important things in order to make my own blog effective and social.

Provide Valuable Content

If I don’t provide valuable content on my blog that people can use or that stimulates an emotion, there will be no reason for people to leave comments about my posts. You want people not only to read your blog posts but you want them to comment on them.

Ask questions or write something that causes controversy so that people will be inclined to respond. Also you want to keep the comments going on for as long as possible so it is a good idea to always respond to comments on your own blog so that people will know you are engaged with your readers. Once they see you engaged they will be more likely to return.

Comment On Other Peoples Blogs

You absolutely need to go over to other blogs and forums to read and leave comments. If you do not leave comments, you won’t get the traffic near as fast. The kinds of comments that have the best results for me are the ones where you complement the writer and also offer something of value.

I am into graphic design so I have been offering my services to others who could use them. I didn’t just go and advertise all over other peoples blogs. You must actually read their post and really think about what your comment will contain. I have seen countless blogs asking for a link back to their site.

Nothing is more frustrating than to see people abuse the blogging platform for this purpose. You can kill two birds with one stone if you really try to leave value on other people’s blogs and write killer content on your own as well. Asking questions and writing controversial posts are effective in getting people to comment so try these tactics.

What techniques have worked for you? If you know of anything else that have had great results I would appreciate any and all comments. Blogging takes time but the amount of information you acquire over time will be of great value to future viewers of your blog. Until next time…

As I try to generate more traffic to my blog, I find that there are really a ton of different ways to do this. On this very day as I was trying to install some necessary widgets on my sidebar, I had an idea. What if there was a way to have my blog posts in a widget that someone could then put on their website?

As I searched in Google, I came across Widgetbox.com. In about half an hour I came up with this little widget that shows my most recent posts and has links directly to the post embedded in the widget. Also I have a logo at the top that links to my blog.

People who have websites that need content can then grab my widget and they are redirected to Widgetbox.com so they can change the color, look and feel of my widget to better fit their own website or blog. Below is a screenshot of options to change the widget.

I was wondering, “Why in the world would someone want to place content on their website that takes the visitor away from their site?” It dawned on me that many people just need more content to get visitors to the website in the first place and they don’t care that the added content goes to another website.

Just look at the popular EzineArticles.com. They get boatloads of traffic and make tons of cash by adding Adsense to the articles that other people publish. At the end of every article, the author leaves a resource link that takes the visitor back their own website.

EzineArticles doesn’t seem to mind too much and the reason is because they get tons of traffic by offering other people’s content. Adding widgets like mine to your website is a good idea if you need more content so your website or blog ranks higher.

It doesn’t make sense to put widgets that directly compete with your site but if you use integration marketing, you can add fries to your burger so to speak. Add a widget that complements your site or blog and your visitors will love you for it. I hope mine do.

I’m sure there are more effective ways of getting traffic to your website or blog but what the heck, I’ll give this a try and see what comes of it. Widgetbox even has tracking stats for your widget so it will be easy to see if people are viewing your widget or not. It’s free to sign up and your widget goes into a much bigger database of widgets where people can search for what they want and need.

After you create your widget it goes into their database. See the screenshot below to see how many visitors the business section of this site gets. Notice that I am the 243rd member and the widgets get 17,674 views per day. Also notice the other categories. Your blog may have more or less views depending on the category chosen.

After clicking on the business category you can see even further how many unique visitors see this business section each day. See the screenshot below. For 243 members 7616 unique visits is pretty amazing. If my blog posts are interesting and worthwhile, then I “should” see my fair share of traffic. Again I will keep you posted as to whether this is worth the effort.

I welcome your comments and if you have any experience with custom widgets, I’d love to take a look at them. If you have some free time you might want to go ahead and create your own. Widgetbox is not limited to just blog posts. You can add html, video, images, or anything else you can think of. It just takes a lot of imagination and just a little bit of effort. Until next time…

Alex Jeffreys challenged us to see who could come up with the most traffic from December 17th until January 3rd. Obviously I did not do as well as other students have done but I am going to post my results anyways. After adding Google Analytics to my blog I was able to see each and every day how much traffic comes to my blog and here is what I’ve got.

My Traffic Results From Dec 17th 08 to Jan 03rd 09

I have had ample time to get better results than this but I have been busy with Christmas and New Years, not to mention my regular 50 hour a week job that pays the bills. I only have been working this blog for about five hours a week. If I put more into it, I bet the traffic will increase significantly.

You cannot see it but the 84 visits to my blog resulted in only 24 unique individuals. So out of these individuals many are coming back which is good. I know if I seek out more of Alex’s students and comment on their blogs, I will get more visits from them.

My new focus for traffic will take me to social networking using sites like Squidoo, Twitter, Ezine Articles and others. I will keep you all up to date as to how the traffic generation is going. If you are having success with traffic from other sources, please let me know and I’ll give it a try.

Most of my traffic though has come from offering my services in the graphic design field. I guess you really do have to give first before you receive. I have been going through the traffic generation videos that Alex has provided us and as I implement them, I’ll also give you the results.

If you want to know how to increase your own traffic, then visit SimplyListBuilding.com for a free report on how to do this. It’s created by Alex Jeffreys and as I show more screenshots of my traffic, you will see for yourself.

Building a business is fun and hard but I find it rewarding to see results. Generating traffic to your website or blog is one of the highly sought after gold mines that people need no matter the niche or business they run. I hope to generate so much traffic that I will be able to create my own “How To Generate Traffic” product.

As long as I stay ahead of my followers, there is no reason why I can’t teach what I learn as I learn it. Those of you who are students of Alex Jeffreys know he is not perfect but continues to fail forward as he progresses his online business into the millions. Man, what a great example.

He is one of the first online marketers that has allowed people to see him fail as he continues to go forward. I have learned a lot from him and no matter how hard this business gets, I will continue to press forward so that I may too one day see screenshots of 300 or 400 visitors a day.

How is your dedication and what is your determination? Are you willing to put in the time and effort to achieve the same results? If you do it will so be worth it, I promise. Anyways, time to go and get ready to go to work soon so until next time…

I am completely impressed by many of Alex Jeffreys other students who have taken massive action when it comes to “just doing it.” Alex has given some great advice and coaching on getting the traffic to out websites but man, what good is it if I haven’t much content on my site?

I admit that I have been slow to write concerning the training and implementing the much needed work that it takes to get this website flowing. This is proof however that it does take work and effort to successfully build a profitable online business that provides value and service.

I have taken so much time in creating products that I have completely neglected how I was going to drive traffic to my website and get people interested in who I am and what I have to offer. Module 4 of Alex Jeffreys coaching was dedicated to help us start to drive traffic and a lot of it. I now realize that I need content to drive traffic to.

Yes, this makes sense but when you aren’t used to running your own business, it can quickly become overwhelming and I really see now why so many people quit. Not me though, because I am really going to make this work. I won’t accept failure this time when I have so many other times before. I encourage you to get your blogs going and get it filled with content.

Not just a bunch of words either but real content. How you did this or that works because others will have a need for what you are going through too. I have been going through some of the other students blogs and am impressed with how much they comment on each others sites. This in and of itself has caused me to surf around finding great content. I remind you that content is coming from complete beginners too.

This is also proof to me that I need not be some internet marketing guru to get seen online. It all begins with crawling, then baby steps until eventually I am running full speed much like Alex Jeffreys is. Posting on this blog once or twice a week is not acceptable when desiring to do this full time. Where are my priorities?

Now for getting traffic to my site I will be trying some things this week and I’ll be posting exactly what I did and how I did it. My entire focus will be on social bookmarking and web 2.0 traffic. People more and more are becoming social networking freaks. I must learn to do the same. It looks as though people are interested in creating relationships again. I must say I am glad.

Along with writing on my blog, I’ll be surfing around and posting to others blogs which I find interesting, informative and helpful. It will not be hard to tell which ones are dedicated and which ones aren’t. Leaving comments about what you read is important as this leaves back links to your site and gives others a sense of your knowledge and authority.

Align yourself with the successful and even if they are newbies, you can create relationships and potentially joint venture projects with them. Those of you who don’t know, I create my own graphics and if your budget is tight, just let me know and I’ll be glad to help with ebook covers, video covers, headers and footers, or whatever else I can help you with.

People helping people will help me to succeed and I must do all I can to provide my knowledge and services so I can build a name and reputation for myself online. Giving is truly receiving. I hope you find this post useful and I want you to begin to work on traffic generation by looking into social bookmarking. It really will work and I’ll be proving it to you shortly. Until next time…
